I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with experience in adolescent and adult mental health and addictions. I have been providing counseling in a variety of settings over the past seven years, including outpatient programs, co-occurring mental health and substance use, medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone/Buprenorphine), and forensics. I have worked with individuals in community settings as well as with individuals who are incarcerated. My experience has been in various treatment modalities with both individuals and groups. I am currently available for individual therapy sessions. I believe that each person has the power to look within themselves to find solutions to problems, particularly when given the non-judgmental support that therapy provides.
Whether someone has been dealing with an issue or symptom for a long time or they have just noticed a problem starting, therapy is a great way to learn do something differently, which can lead to greater changes overtime. Whether it be relationship issues, the loss of a job, a major life-changing crisis, or just the daily grind, life can get busy, overwhelming, and sometimes even chaotic. Changes in any area of life can make a person feel confused, out of control, or even feel alone or like no one is listening. At those times, it can be difficult to think that there’s time to add in another appointment. It is at that very moment when someone may especially benefit from considering the additional support of a therapist. Taking the time to meet with a therapist can make a huge difference with overall life balance and how time is spent outside of therapy. Therapy is a valuable way to discover self-care and productive stress management or symptom management techniques in order to improve daily functioning and quality of life. I am committed to assisting clients using a person-centered framework to facilitate personal growth.
