My goal for therapy is for my clients to feel empowered by the work they put into therapy. For this to take place, I think it’s important for clients to feel comfortable, safe, and respected during their time in counseling. To provide these experiences, I like to set a structure where my clients feel in charge of their therapy and our sessions and goals go wherever my clients want them to go. There may be times where people come in not knowing where they want their journey in counseling to go and that’s where I’m happy to hop in with suggestions as well!

Each person comes into counseling with a different background and strengths that can help them towards achieving their goals in counseling. I’ve had opportunities to work in a variety of settings and locations that have helped me to be flexible in the populations with which I have worked. I have worked with children, adolescents, college students, adults, and couples in three different states. These experiences have helped me to be open to a variety of backgrounds and recognizing treatment that might be helpful for different populations.

I provide client centered treatment, in addition to using different treatment models depending on the client. I have had experience providing Cognitive -Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Related Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I also have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.”
